QLD state Budget outlines extensive ICT spending

Queensland Health is one of the agencies to benefit from IT spending outlined in the Queensland State Budget 2009/10 released on 16 June.

More than $200 million in IT spending has been allocated to the Health Department, a $86.2 million injection to upgrade ICT equipment, networks and servers to enable them to accommodate future e-health requirements.

This is on top of the $87.1 million to be invested in the production and delivery of an electronic medical record...
