This particular profile looks into the structure and activities of NSW Health.

Employing over 100,000 people, and comprising 28% of the NSW General Government Sector budget, NSW Health is the largest Government Agency in NSW. If it were a publically listed company, it would rank around 15th in Australia in terms of size.

It is then no surprise that Health is a very significant ICT customer. It is taking part in the hefty e-health projects required by April’s COAG Agreement, and will soon undertake a review of its ICT strategy, which expires in 2011.
