NSW issues panel for storage, server platforms and virtualisation technologies

The NSW Government has issued a request for tender (RFT) for the supply of mid-range, mainframe and storage computer systems.
Current suppliers are EMC, Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Dell and XSI Data Solutions. The existing contract is better known as 846: UNIX System Platform midrange, Mainframe, Storage computer systems, UPS’s, Associated Software and Support Services. The contract expires on 4 November 2009.
