CeBIT 2012 - eGovernment Forum

Event Date: 23/05/2012 - 8:15am - 4:30pm
Location: Darling Harbour, Sydney NSW Australia
Australia’s premier public sector technology summit, CeBIT Australia’s eGovernment Forum will explore how technology is changing the way that services are delivered across the globe. Governments are not exempt from this transformation. There is a need to transform the way that services are delivered to the community – how we communicate, interact, make decisions and do business.
Delegates to the 2012 eGovernment Forum will have the opportunity to hear and discuss how technology:
- continually influences and raises community expectations for dealing with government
- impacts and underpins the way governments operate and deliver services
The program of the Forum is still being developed however some of the topics that will be discussed include:
- Insights and Aspirations: Our Vision for the Future
ICT continues to transform both Government and Industry’s business and services. This session will provide insights from senior Government officials and Business leaders about their vision for future service delivery.
- Connections and Community: Innovative Service Delivery
How do we find new and better ways of delivering services through technological innovation? What does it take to deliver an innovative solution to a service delivery need? Speakers in this session will share their experience of how they have risen to the challenge.
- Realities and Resources: What does it mean to be a digital citizen?
Our online interactions are challenging traditional notions of privacy, identity and social responsibility. This session will explore the shared challenges governments, businesses and individuals have in ensuring a secure and trusted online environment.
- Options and Opportunities – What now for a networked Nation?
This session will explore emerging trends, opportunities and challenges for a networked nation and how business, government and the community might keep up with changes driven by high speed broadband, technology and community expectations.
