Keynote Speaker: John Sheridan, First Assistant Secretary,
Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO)
Intermedium is delighted to announce John Sheridan, First Assistant Secretary, AGIMO will be the Keynote Speaker at our Year in Review briefing on Thursday 28 October 2010 at Hotel Realm.
John Sheridan will provide an overview of AGIMO’s priorities for the coming year, particularly in the area of co-ordinated procurement activities, Gov 2.0 directions and the services his division provides to agencies.
2009-10 was another big year for the Federal Government ICT market.
There were significant teething problems with the ATO Change Program, a number of major Requests for Tender released and AGIMO got on with its co-ordinated procurement strategy in earnest.
The Defence Strategic Reform Program was endorsed and Gov 2.0 emerged as a serious new direction. The harvesting of Gershon Review identified savings continued and a new agency, the Australian Health Practitioner Agency was launched.
In this context:
- How did suppliers and agencies fare?
- What were the areas of market growth or decline?
- Who came out on top in the agency and supplier ‘leader boards’ for 2009-10?
- What can the events and market results for 2009-10 tell us about likely future trends?
Intermedium will tell you all this (and more) at its annual Year in Review briefing.
This key event will provide a detailed summary of the Federal Government ICT market in 2009-10. It will identify market changes impacting:
- Agencies;
- Suppliers; and
- Products and Services.
The briefing will predict trends in the Government market and look at the factors likely to impact the market for the remainder of 2010-11 and beyond.
Intermedium will also present the 2010 Froggy Awards which recognise the success of Federal Government ICT suppliers.
The Froggy Awards

Launched in 2007, the Froggy Award recognises Federal Government ICT market suppliers that achieved the fastest rate of sales growth, over three years as measured by their aggregate annual contract value.
Having reported the Top 100 ICT suppliers to the Federal Government for several years, Intermedium created the Froggy award to recognise growth companies that are likely to be the Federal ICT market challengers of the future. more >>
The Criteria:
To be eligible to win a Froggy Award, suppliers must achieve a minimum of $150,000 in Federal Government ICT contracts in three consecutive years.
