budget IT - NSW Budget Briefing
The NSW Government brought down its first budget on 6 September, following the review of the State's finances initiated immediately after it was elected in March.
This first budget delivered mixed messages to the industry as to the priority the Coalition government accords to ICT. It contained as much as $800 million worth of ICT capital allocations on the one hand, but asked state departments to find $6 billion in efficiency dividends on the other.
By attending this key briefing you can gain the insight necessary to stay ahead in the NSW Government ICT market. The briefing will cover:
- Addressable opportunities
Intermedium has identified 160 CapEx initiatives; 65 of which are new and addressable this year; - ICT funding profiles
Three of the NSW super department ‘clusters’ stand head and shoulders over the others in terms of their total number of addressable initiatives; - Winners/Losers analysis
The comparative amount of ICT OpEx available per cluster/ agency in 2011-12 vs 2010-11 is a determinant of how difficult it will be to do business with agencies.
