A critical briefing leading up to the 2011 NSW State Election and for those developing and delivering against NSW Government ICT sales budgets and strategies
As NSW prepares to go to the polls in March it’s time to take stock of the current state of ICT in the NSW Government, the impacts of an election on ICT procurement, and potential future ICT policy directions.
ICT in NSW Government has experienced substantial changes in recent times with the establishment of the Super Departments, the move to shared services and the recent shake up at the Government Chief Information Office.
The coming election will have immediate implications for ICT procurements and the potential change of government could have long term implications for ICT policy in NSW. Due in March, shortly before the release of the NSW Budget, this election could have a significant impact on the funding of new ICT projects in the state.
NSW Government is the second largest ICT market in Australia, with public sector ICT spending estimated to be $1.5b per annum. It is a market in which it is difficult to obtain actionable lead information.
Be prepared to face upcoming changes in the NSW Government ICT market. Come along to Intermedium’s Pre-Election Briefing and Half Year Executive Update to get the latest news and insights.
