Addendum to Last Week's Datacentre Story

In last week's newsletter, we referred to a new Tier 1 datacentre to be launched in Canberra later this month by the Canberra Data Centres consortium. ASI is stakeholder in the project, and would like to clarify that the datacentre is actually a Tier 3 facility.

ASI and Intermedium acknowledge that there was some mis-communication that led to the error in the article.

According to Greg Boorer, Managing Director of Canberra Data Centres, the new facility features significant Green IT design aspects, and is expected to save up to 50% in power.
