A digital map that tracks Adelaide’s investment and development progress has been released by South Australia’s Department of Transport, Planning and Infrastructure, with the intent of providing increased transparency of development projects.

The colour-coded map allows the public to follow projects through the development cycle, from approval, through to under construction and completed. It includes developments approved by the Development Assessment Commission since changes to planning laws in 2008.

The map details the total number of projects under each development category and the total value, for example, 11 projects are under construction with a total value of $2.05 billion.

A list of SA development initiatives enables map users to monitor approvals that relate to Adelaide’s public realms and open spaces, as well as small venue license holders.

The map has the capacity to become 3D with a Google Earth plug-in.
