Nominations are open for government agencies (Federal, state, territory and local) for the 2007 Excellence in e-Government Award. Administered by AGIMO, the aim of the Award is to promote excellence in the use of ICT at all levels of Australian government.

The e-Award recognises the most outstanding initiatives in e-government that have been implemented in the past two years, based on the positive impact they have had on the lives of Australian citizens, the community, business and government. It is designed to inspire Australian government agencies to excel and innovate in the use of ICT.

The primary focus of the e-Award is the promotion of excellence in the use of ICT by government. The e-Award recognises the most outstanding, successful initiatives in e-government that have been implemented in the past two years. This is based on the positive impact they have had on the lives of Australian citizens, the community and business while also improving the efficiency and effectiveness of government administration and service delivery.

Nominations close on 30 March 2008, and the winners of the e-Award will be announced at the e-Government Forum at CeBIT Australia in May.
