BMC Software was awarded the inaugural Intermedium Leaping Frog Award in Canberra last week. The award recognises companies in the Federal Government ICT market that achieved the fastest rate of growth in sales of ICT products and services to Federal agencies, in the three years to 30 June 2007.
BMC Software achieved a staggering growth of 7,478% in total contract value over the three years 2004-05 to 2006-07, with the $120,854 reported in 2004-05 rising to $9,158,757 in 2006-07.
As winner of the Award, BMC Software will receive market intelligence reports valued at $5,000 from Intermedium.
This award was created by Intermedium to identify and acknowledge the up-and-coming companies, the fastest moving companies that are likely to challenge the largest suppliers in the future.
The Froggies finalists also provide a clue as to the solutions that are on the rise in the Federal Government market. The success of BMC Software shows the current strong interest in enterprise management software.
Other Froggy finalists were Unisys Australia (3,464%), Sagem Australasia (2,459%), face2face Recruitment (2,407%) and Funnelback (1,894%). A brief profile of each of these companies is provided later in this article.
To be eligible to win an award, ICT suppliers had to achieve a minimum of $100,000 in ICT contracts in the Federal government market in each of the 3 years (2004-05, 2005-06 and 2006-07).
