Clare O’Neil Surprise Pick For Cyber Security Portfolio

Clare O’Neil has been named the new Minister for Home Affairs and Cyber Security, in a surprise Cabinet announcement on Tuesday evening. 

Responsibility for cyber security was expected to go to her friend and fellow Melbourne MP Tim Watts, who has been the Shadow Assistant Minister for Communications and Cyber Security since the 2019 election.
