COVID-19 impact on Defence funding: too early to call?

The Coalition government is ideologically wedded to the notion of running surplus, not deficit, budgets. It is highly likely that the next two Federal budgets (October 2020 and May 2021) will significantly curtail aspects of government spending to help rein in the COVID-19 generated (ongoing) budget deficit.
