NSW RTA has issued an EOI for or the supply of an E-Recruitment software solution. The E-Recruitment software solution is to automate recruitment, provide recruitment facilities on the RTA’s careers website and intranet, and provide recruitment metrics and reporting.
E-recruitment is an area of growth in Australian government sector. In March 2008, two large Federal agencies went to the market for e-recruitment systems.
Treasury issued a tender for the supply, installation and maintenance of an e-recruitment system estimated to cost up to $220,000. The system was to be operational by 1 July 2008, but to date, the result of this tender has not been published.
In its first foray into online recruitment, the Australian Bureau of Statistics also went to the market for an “off-the self internet-based technology solution” worth up to $450,000. ABS has not announced the result of this tender process.
According to Intermedium's scout IT prospecting tool Geoscience Australia is the only agency that’s specifically indicated in its procurement plan it intends to go to the market for e-recruitment during the 2008-09 financial year.
Intermedium research shows that as many as 16 Federal agencies may have e-recruitment systems in place, and that at least seven online recruitment contracts were awarded in 2007-08.
