Changes with far-reaching impacts on the Federal Government ICT market were announced by Minister the Hon. Stuart Robert during an end of year address on Friday 3 December 2021.
The changes relate to heightened project approval powers for the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA), a determination to 're-use' ICT components at a Whole of Government (WofG) level and a determination to facilitate this re-use through a WofG ICT architecture.
Under the changes announced by Robert, new ICT spending proposals are to be signed off by DTA. To achieve such a sign-off, the proponent agency will have to:
