Health readies approach to market for outsourcing of ICT Services

The Department of Health is preparing to approach the market to replace its existing ICT Services Agreement that is due to expire on 30 June 2015. The Department will hold a briefing on 16 April 2014 in Canberra “to provide industry with an overview of the RFT, including process, scope, expected contracting model and the department’s future operating model.” The briefing will include details of what the department is seeking from the market including an overview of the department’s proposed future IT model, an overview of the scope of the services and fully managed services where ownership and control of ICT Services infrastructure is with the Service Provider. A Request for Tender (RFT) is expected to be released by the end of May 2014.
