Keeping Track of Tasmania’s Digital Transformation

A range of major ICT developments will occur in Tasmania in three stages, with 2021 looking like the watershed year for setting the State’s future digital transformation.

Tasmania has been a digital laggard to date, but appointed a Whole of Government (WofG) Chief Information Officer (CIO) in March 2021, completed The Review of the Tasmanian State Service (TSS) in July, and handed down record levels of ICT funding in its 2021-22 Budget in September 2021.
