The Department of Defence’s $4 million contract with Dell for Software Services and Support was the largest reported on AusTender last week (22-26 February).

The contract, which will run between 10 February 2016 and 30 June 2019, is Dell’s largest so far in 2015-16, according to Intermedium’s Analyse IT tool. Dell is currently ranked 47th on the 2015-16 Intermedium Supplier Leader Board with its 136 contracts totalling $19.3 million.

Over the last six years, Dell has tracked downwards on the Supplier Leader Board, falling from 15th in 2009-10 to 25th in 2012-13 and 33rd in 2014-15.

Dell has signed 2,352 contracts worth $317.4 million since Intermedium began collecting contracting data in 2009-10.

Dell commenced its acquisition of EMC, estimated to be worth $91 billion, in October 2015. The deal has been described as the largest takeover/acquisition in the history of the international technology market.
