The Department of Immigration and Border Protection’s $14 million amendment to its Telstra Translating and Interpreting Services (TIS National) telephony services contract was the largest reported on AusTender last week (4-8 April 2016).

The value of the contract, which was originally published in April 2013, has now increased to $36 million between 20 March 2013 and 19 March 2018. The term of the contract remains unchanged.

This is the second time the contract has been amended, having increased by $10 million in July 2014.

Without taking into account the recent amendment, Telstra ranked first on Intermedium’s 2012-13 Supplier Leader Board with 386 contracts worth $1.5 billion.

Telstra has signed 2,662 contracts worth a total of $3.2 billion since Intermedium began collecting contracting data in 2009-10.
