Anthony Wong, the former president of the Australian Computer Society will replace John Baird as the chair of the panel, however, Baird has been reappointed to remain as a member on the panel for another year. The Panel consists of members of the Business and Research Sector and has advised the NSW Government on the NSW Government ICT Strategic Framework, the development of the NSW Government ICT Strategy 2012 and the ICT Strategy Implementation Update 2013-14. In October 2012, Baird told Intermedium that the Panel had led NSW to adopt cloud. “[Pearce] wanted to know whether the NSW Government should build data centres or should just move to cloud straight away,” he said.

The appointments are effective from 1 April 2014 for a period of 12 months.
