Intermedium understands at least some successful suppliers for the NSW ICT Services Panel have been notified, and are in negotiations with Department of Commerce.
In a recent article in the medium, Intermedium indicated notification of the NSW ICT Services Panel was imminent. News that negotiations have commenced is in line with an item in the January edition of NSWBUY (the Commerce electronic newsletter) that the award date for the panel would be April 2009.
It is Intermedium’s view that all suppliers who meet the mandatory criteria will be on the panel. This will result in a panel of around 200 potential suppliers, from an initial field of around 400 respondents.
Following announcement of the panel, competition for work will be fierce, given the impact of the global financial crisis on non-government markets.
Being on a panel – while still just ‘a ticket to the dance’ - will increasingly be the means by which suppliers find work.
Intermedium has a range of services to assist clients to better position themselves in this new, highly competitive Government environment, including access to Intermedium’s Senior Associates, many of whom have a background in NSW Government. Click here for more details.
