NSW leads with new rules for new tech

NSW will introduce a nation-leading framework to manage ethical concerns around the use of emerging technologies, following an Ombudsman report which identified failures in the use of administrative decision-making technologies.

Suppliers and agencies will need to consider community benefit, fairness, cyber security and overall risk in artificial intelligence (AI) technology business cases and throughout the procurement process.
