NSW nets $3 million in radio telco savings

Over $3 million has been saved by the New South Wales Government following the introduction of a new supplier purchasing scheme at the NSW Telco Authority.

The scheme, which was introduced in May 2013, is designed to eliminate the waste and duplication arising from having 70 agencies that either own or operate radio telecommunications networks.  These include emergency services and transport agencies, electricity suppliers and other agencies which use radio but less heavily.
