Suppliers and organisations with an interest in government financial systems should note the Department of Finance and Deregulation is holding a briefing event on the implementation of Operation Sunlight on Tuesday 31 March, in Canberra.

Operation Sunlight is the name given to the Government’s reform agenda to improve the openness and transparency of public sector budgetary and financial management and to promote good governance practices.

The Briefing is an opportunity for interested parties to hear first hand how Operation Sunlight is being implemented, and will identify policy and process considerations.  The implications for the possible redevelopment of the Central Budget Management System will also be discussed.

Public servants are advised a separate briefing will be held for members of the Australian Public Service, the details of which will be advised via the Chief Financial Officer’s (CFO) Network.
