Intermedium’s preliminary analysis of 2006-07 contracts data suggests that the Federal Government ICT market continues to grow. Final figures are not yet available, but it seems that while the total value of ICT contracts has increased, the number of contracts may be down as much as 30%.

Part of the decline in contract numbers is due to a drop in Defence procurement activity compared with 2005-06. However, Defence remains the dominant agency in the Federal Government ICT market.
