Queensland’s building industry regulator, the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is joining a range of other Queensland agencies adopting mobility solutions. It intends to support and regulate field audits and inspections in buildings across Queensland via the use of mobility-enabled case management technology.
QBCC has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain Field Officer Case Management Solution (CMS) to allow for the conduct of remote assessments. The solution must support the use of portable devices, including devices that will have to operate outside the range of mobile cellular networks.
QBCC conducts 60 site visits per day to conduct proactive licensing audits. The initiative for the provision of CMS is amongst the recent developments from Queensland to ensure mobility is priority during current ICT transformation.
