Queensland Appoints Interim GCIO

The vacant Queensland Chief Information Officer (GCIO) position is to be filled temporarily by internal transfer until a permanent appoint is made. Allan Chapman will transfer to the GCIO position, having been closely involved with the State’s IT strategy in his role as Director of Enterprise Architecture and Strategy.

In early December 2007, we reported on the resignation of Peter Grant as Queensland GCIO. Grant left the role to take up a position as head of Microsoft’s team in Queensland. His resignation was the latest in a long line across state and federal GCIO positions.
