Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a consultant to inform its future data centre planning. QUT currently owns, manages and operates its own data centres and IT infrastructure to support its 45,000 students and 4,500 staff. The Request for Offer (RFO) states “As demand grows, pressure has increased on physical data centre facilities to continue to accommodate the expanding IT infrastructure needs of the University.” QUT will consider on-site, hosted and as-a-service options. The chosen supplier will also be required to conduct a market review and build an IT infrastructure roadmap. Due to limited budget funding “QUT will need to leverage its existing IT infrastructure assets and investments through any transition of its service delivery platforms.”

This RFO and more can be found on Intermedium’s tender database - a subscripton service, with daily alerts.
