Update On The NSW Government ICT Market

Ongoing changes within NSW Government and in the NSW ICT procurement landscape will result in significant changes in the market in the coming months. What will this mean for ICT vendors?

Since the NSW State Election, we've had the appointment of 10 new Ministers, moves or anticipated moves by a number of Directors General, and just last week, the resignation of the Government CIO, Paul Edgecumbe. Still to come is the NSW State Budget on 19 June and rumoured restructures in several agencies.

There's also the much publicised NSW ICT Strategic Plan "People First" (comprising more than 100 individual projects) which is due to enter its implementation phase. What has been the impact on the Plan's timetable following the State Election and the departure of three of its most senior champions?
