The following contracts were published on AusTender in the Week to 11 March 2011.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics has belatedly published a series of contracts that point to the breadth of changes that are likely to occur as part of its Information Management Transformation Program (IMTP). These contracts all had start dates between April 2010 and November 2010. They include $20,000 awarded to Dimension Data regarding an ‘audit of the current video conference facilities and strategy, determining whether our proposed tools and environment will meet the video conference needs of the ABS in the next 2 to 3 years’.
Global Speech Networks had a $30,000 contract for the ‘Analysis of, and advice and recommendations on, potential improvements to ABS communications and related systems’. NOUS Group was awarded a$144,600 contract ‘to assist in the development of the Technology Applications (TA) Branch Identity’.
Oakton was awarded five contracts in this period, all of which appear to be of a preparatory nature for the IMTP. $31,512 for the ‘Review our (Portfolio, Programme, and Project Management Maturity Model) P3M3 self assessment and.... advice on the formation of the capability plan.’ Oakton also received $35,464 for 'Review of ABS Source HR Data' and $100,000 for 'Review and development of system security plans' as well as $140,000 to 'Improve Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity within Technology Applications Branch'. ABS’ final Oakton contract was $54,450 for a 'Consultancy to get founded estimates of ICT costs for projects'.
Still at ABS, STRATSEC.NET was awarded $30,000 for 'Strategy for Implementation of Security Operation Group in the ABS'; the Value Creation Group was awarded $79,000 for the 'Facilitation of the Informal CSTAT workgroup on stronger collaboration on Statistical Information Management Systems' and Trend Micro was awarded $840,000 for 'ABS Network Security Enhancement'. But the single biggest belated contract posting was ABS’ May 2010 contract with Oracle for $2,483,402 for 'Human Resources Management Information System and Financial Planning Suite software licences'.
The Australian Federal Police awarded ETM Pacific $19,437 for the 'Supply and installation of data logging system'. Supportlink IT was awarded $64,350 for 'Provision of an on-line referral management system for ACT Police'.
Acer picked up a $1,254,342 contract with the CRS Australia for 'Provision of Desktop Hardware and Associated services'.
DEEWR has awarded Phonecia Consulting two contracts, both for $73,300. The first for 'Management advisory services for implementation of DEEWR Enterprise Architecture and IT Front Door functions and associated processes' and the second for 'Post implementation review of DEEWR IT Front Door and Architecture function and associated processes'.
At Defence, Uber Global has been awarded a $24,091 contract for 'Royal Australian Air Force website domain hosting'. EMC has been awarded a $35,000 contract for 'Consultancy services to assist Defence application usage in preparation for project JP2047' and PSI Asia Pacifichas a $103,440 contract for 'Probity advice for JP2099 Identity Management.'
At DHS, SAP has been awarded a $1,928,251 contract for 'SAP Consolidation SLO services' while Uber Global has been awarded a $79,099 contract, again for Website hosting.
FAHCSIA has given Telstra a $30,000,000 contract for 'Telecommunication Services' for the three years to March 2014.
