Will high inflation lead to government ICT cuts? Probably yes (in these jurisdictions)

A worldwide wave of inflation is now confirmed to have hit Australian shores. Governments across ANZ will need to deal with rising inflation, large government debt and increasing interest rates.

Historically, when these forces are at play, governments pull back on spending. In particular, they put pressure on their agencies to reduce staffing levels and curtail the procurement of goods and services.

At such times, the spending axe traditionally falls hard on ICT.
