WPIT reaches a milestone. Which other mainframes are on the chopping block?

The most expensive government digital transformation project in recent years, Services Australia’s Welfare Payments Infrastructure Transformation (WPIT), has now passed its seven-year project deadline.

While the $1.5 billion transformation has been largely welcomed for improving customer experiences, but questions remain about the long-term viability of the project – and the future of other mainframes in Canberra.
