Last week we highlighted the importance of moving quickly to take advantage of ICT opportunities listed in Federal agency procurement plans. This was based on Intermedium's analysis of the 2006-07 plans. We've now analysed many of the 2007-08 plans and found that more than 40% are expected to go-to-the-market by the end of September 2007.

For example, of the 8 ICT contracts identified in the AFP procurement plan, 5 are listed to go to the market in Q1. In FaCSIA, of 8 of the 11 ICT projects are expected to go to market by September 2007.

In previous years, more than 50% of projects listed in procurement plans (that go to market during the year) do so within the procurement window. Therefore, Intermedium expects that 50 or more ICT projects listed in the procurement plans will go to market by September.

These results highlight the value of the procurement plans and of scout IT, Intermedium's comprehensive prospecting tool.
