RailCorp has issued an EOI for the Provision of Professional Services for Business Improvement Program. A Business Improvement Program with the objectives of this one (see below) is bound to have major ICT implications.

RailCorp is looking for someone to project manage structural changes within the Asset Management Group. This Group is responsibile for the strategic planning, project works, and performance management of infrastructure and rolling stock assets, and currently employees 5,000.

The Business Improvement Program (BIP) is to be implemented over the next 12 to 18 months, and is to be managed separately from RailCorp's daily activities.

The objectives of the project are:

Develop achievable capital programs that deliver asset solutions required by the NSW State Plan and internal RailCorp plans.

  • Deliver on all capital program commitments to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
  • Achieve an optimum, benchmarked level of performance so that in-house delivery remains contestable with other options.
  • Maintain effective, transparent relationships that provide stakeholders with confidence that their needs and requirements are being managed effectively.
  • Maintain effective, commercial relationships with suppliers that facilitate the availability of the services and support required to deliver the Capital program.

Closing date for this opportunity is 26 September 2007.
