Ms Delaine Wilson has been appointed the Federal Government’s Shared Services Centre (SSC) next CEO, following a reshuffling of its leadership team.
The SSC’s previous Deputy CEO and Chief Information Officer (CIO), Susan Monkley, has departed to take up the role of Chief Finance Officer (CFO), and Group Manager - Finance, Parliamentary and Assurance, in the Department of Education. Monkley will continue to serve as CIO for the Department of Education.
Wilson will take up the position in mid-October, until which the SSC’s organisational chart indicates Craig Storem will act as the Interim CEO.
Scott Wallace will act as Deputy CEO, CIO until the end of 2014.
Wilson’s Linkedin reveals she comes to the position having most recently worked as the Accounting Shared Services Manager at Auckland Council and General Manager of Shared Services at New Zealand Post. These roles focused on establishing Shared Services Centres and developing and implementing strategic change within Auckland Council and NZ Post.
While managing shared services to the Auckland Council department and five Council Controlled Organisations, Wilson established a new financial system and designed business processes following the merger of eight local authorities and their legacy systems, according to her Linkedin.
Wilson has also managed HR and Financial Shared Service Centres incorporating remuneration, payroll, recruitment and a wide range of financial services and procurement, according to the Australian Shared Services Association website, of which she has been a board member for two years.
The SSC was established in February 2014, and is responsible for providing shared corporate IT services to nine customers, primarily the Departments of Education and Employment.
