Victoria is in fifth place* in Intermedium’s 2022 Digital Government Readiness and Maturity Indicator Report (DGRMI)**, behind New South WalesFederalNew Zealand, and Australian Capital Territory governments.

Victoria is best described as ‘all revved up and ready to go digital’ with a fresh strategy and (relatively) new Chief Executive Officer of Digital Victoria. While the speed of transformation at a Whole of Government (WofG) level has not kept up with the DGRMI leaders, digital transformation related measures  announced in the 3 May 2022 budget (which fell outside the assessment period of Intermedium’s report) suggest that Victoria will now adopt a faster pace.
