NSW 2021-22 Budget Signals

Intermedium expects significant ICT spending to continue in the 2021-22 budget year as the NSW Government seeks to leverage its investments in regional infrastructure, Whole-of-Government platforms and cybersecurity. NSW is on track to move to the next stage of its digital transformation journey with e-Planning, e-Regulation and innovative service delivery on the horizon.

Our early budget assessment indicates that the 2021-22 NSW Budget will contain more high spending on electronic services delivery powered by integrated platforms. Regional NSW is also likely to attract significant ICT funding to modernise regional economies in response to the challenges highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Intermedium’s detailed analysis will examine the significant ICT implications of the budget, including:

  • Where the meaningful opportunities lie
  • Detailed assessment of the procurement landscape
  • The challenges facing agencies as they compete for resources
  • How BAU funding and activities are likely to be impacted
  • Which agencies have received the most New Policy Proposal funding
